Consider the role of the apology. What difference does an apology make? Does a perpetrator’s admittance of wrongdoing help his or her victims? Does it feel better to receive an apology even if you are not able to forgive your perpetrator? Does the act of saying sorry also help the perpetrator? Is it ever too late to say sorry?
Write a letter of apology. This can either be from you to someone in your life that you owe an apology to. Or it can be a letter of apology that you would like to receive. Or, you can note your thoughts on the meaning of apologies, if you prefer.
