Do you know any women who remember World War II? Or is there a female relative or friend you have known who was alive at that time, but is no longer living? Imagine you have the chance to sit down and talk to them.
What would you like to ask them? What do you think they might say about how women were portrayed in the 1940s compared to today? Are there any other aspects of the Houses of Darkness project that you would like to discuss with them? How distinct do you think their stories might be from the men who were also there at that time?
Set a timer for 2 mins and use a voice app on your phone/device to record your question/s, plus anything you imagine they might have said in response. If you have the privilege of being able to talk to someone who was alive at that time, please record your conversation and then edit or clip up to 5 minutes of audio.
